Planing a trip with Padlet

Padlet is an educational technology startup company based in San Francisco, California and Singapore. Padlet provides a cloud-based software-as-a-service, hosting a real-time collaborative web platform in which users can upload, organize, and share content to virtual bulletin boards called "padlets".

I used Padlet as a platform in my german language lessons, where we prepared itineraries for various trips to German-speaking countries. This way, the students were able to research independently on the web, plan their itinerary using itinerary planning apps, calculate the cost of the trip, and present different cities, accommodation options, typical dishes, sights of the city and celebrities. They kept their results up to date on the Padlet app, making the data accessible to the whole class. The main advantage of this way of teaching is the interdisciplinarity and the possibility to publish the results of the work immediately. It is also a very interactive way, as students can react to their classmates' publications, add to the information, learn how to structure the data and present it in a different way.
