Description
Vamia's social- and health education uses educational simulations (Vamia Easy) as a teaching method for students to practice their theory knowledge in practice. Students are placed in different scenarios, where they must actively solve different problems that they face during the practice. Teachers role is to plan the guidelines for the different scenarios and instruct the different roles to the students. This is a safe environment for students to practice different ways of solving situations, that they might confront in actual work situations. This gives the students an actual hands-on learning experience in a school environment. The scenarios can be filmed in the simulation learning classroom, that consist of two different sides; one looks like a elderly client's home (livingroom, bedroom, kitchen and toilet) and the other side looks like a hospital room and classroom. The students can also film simulations outside of the classroom by using the ipads provided.
