Description
Climate Action is the 13th goal of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals were established by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As every country in the world is affected by the destructive effects of climate change, we must all take action. Since the beginning of the 21st century, we have seen an exponential increase in the production of harmful gases in the atmosphere, leading to climate change. This situation prevents the sustainable development of habitable conditions on our planet, putting future generations at risk. However, we also know that changing behavior, adopting sustainable habits (avoiding waste, recycling) and using renewable energies can have a very positive impact on the future of our generation. Therefore, the Consume Consciously and Protect the Environment project aims to investigate the causes and consequences of climate change, propose concrete solutions to these problems and promote the adoption of sustainable habits in all participants. The project was framed in the discipline of Current World, within the training unit "Man and the Environment". Throughout the project, students researched information and developed the following activities, which were then shared with partners: - Creation of a presentation on the types of pollution in their area of origin and what the effects are on public health. - Creation of a presentation on the types of green energy and how to use them. - Development of an awareness campaign for the adoption of sustainable behaviours.
